Whittier College Black Alumni Association (WCBAA) supports Whittier College in its efforts to recruit and ensure the successful matriculation of students from underrepresented backgrounds, particularly those who are engaged in advancing Black cultural leadership and identity. The WCBAA fosters strong connections among students, alumni, and the College by providing scholarship support, career mentoring, cultural advocacy, and leadership development through alumni networking, volunteerism, philanthropy, and social enterprise. The group aims to cultivate a strong sense of community to advance student success and honor the legacy of Black Poets.
The WCBAA Support Fund provides need-based scholarships, emergency assistance, and cultural programming for students engaged in Black student life at Whittier College, and also contributes to the Whittier Fund to support broader student success initiatives.
