Welcome to your final year as an undergraduate at Whittier College! As you reflect on your time spent at Whittier, think about what matters most to you. Whether it’s the value of your degree or the connections you’ve made both in and outside of the classroom, you are a Poet for life!
Join the Class of 2020 in giving back to the place you have called home for the past few years and help us reach our Senior Legacy goals: 200 senior class gifts and 600 hours of community service.
Through charitable giving and volunteerism, leaving your Senior Legacy places you among the leaders in our Poet family who are making a lasting impact on Whitter College’s future.
Why should I participate?
- Paying it forward for future students: Did you know that 90% of students at Whittier College receive some sort of financial aid? Since Whittier College is a private school, we depend heavily on alumni support to provide for the scholarships and grants that students receive.
- Small class sizes: The Whittier Fund is what allows the College to maintain its 12:1 student to professor ratio that makes learning more effective and keeps professors accessible.
- The value of your degree: When more alumni support Whittier College, our National Rankings increase, which increases the value of your degree.
How Can I Help?
Together, we have strength in numbers.
Student giving matters! All gifts, of any amount, the Whittier Fun make a difference. Every dollar that comes into Whittier College impacts the lives of our students by making the cost of a private education affordable and accessible. The unique educational opportunities, like Study Abroad and the Whittier Scholar Program, would not be possible without the Whittier Fund. Any gift that make you today will be bring us one step closer to reaching our Senior Legacy goal of 200 senior participants.
Supporting your community matters! In addition to making a senior class gift, leaving your Senior Legacy includes volunteering three hours of your time to programs that impact Whittier and the surrounding community. If you’d like to be a part of the decision making to when and where Poets give back, please join our Senior Legacy Committee by contacting Chelsea Speer at email@example.com
