About
Class of 2020…Give back to the place you’ve called home for almost four years with a Senior Legacy gift.
Through charitable giving, leaving your Senior Legacy makes you a leader in the Poet family along with alumni, parents, and friends who make a lasting impact on Whitter College’s future with their philanthropy.
Why participate?
- Paying it forward for future students: 90% of students at Whittier College receive some sort of financial aid. Because Whittier College is a private school, we depend heavily on private support to provide for the scholarships and grants that students receive.
- Small class sizes: The Whittier Fund is what allows the College to maintain its 12:1 student to professor ratio that makes learning more effective and keeps professors accessible.
- The value of your degree: The more folks who support Whittier College, the more our National Rankings increase, which raises the value of your degree.
How Can I Help?
Together, we have strength in numbers.
Student giving matters! All gifts, of any amount, the Whittier Fun make a difference. Every dollar that comes into Whittier College impacts the lives of our students by making the cost of a private education affordable and accessible. The unique educational opportunities, like Study Abroad and the Whittier Scholar Program, would not be possible without the Whittier Fund. Any gift that make you today will be bring us one step closer to reaching our Senior Legacy goal of 200 senior participants.
Supporting your community matters! In addition to making a senior class gift, leaving your Senior Legacy includes volunteering three hours of your time to programs that impact Whittier and the surrounding community. If you’d like to be a part of the decision making to when and where Poets give back, please join our Senior Legacy Committee by contacting Chelsea Speer at cspeer@whittier.edu
